Health & Wellness Symposium |

The purpose of the symposium is to provide details on the fundamentals of turning ideas in Health and Wellness into valued innovations and services in the industry. The Symposium is held each year on the first Thursday after spring break.
The program caters to Medical, Dental Health practitioners, Dental hygienist, and Allied Health Services Personnel, Hospital Administrators, clinical laboratory supervisors and technologists of Howard University and the Washington DC community at large. The main focus of the workshop is entrepreneurship. The topics covered:
- Acquire understanding of the processes of certification, licensure in their respective fields
- Use model systems for successful innovations and practice set-up
- Recognize business acumen necessary for a practice set-up
- Interact in Q/A sessions during panel discussion by successful entrepreneurs as role models.
